Ship POS Order with USPS

How do I /or is it possible to ship an order created from the POS/ Square Dashboard with USPS? 

I created an order during checkout. It shows up here: squareup.com/dashboard/orders/overview

but this option is not allowing USPS.

On the page it says if you want to ship with USPS, go to square online. However, it does not appear in the order section at:  square.online/app/store.

 

Is this a glitch?

Hey @ChocoConfection, Hope your day is great, welcome to the Square Seller Community!

 

To ship with USPS from Square Online go to Square Online > Fulfilment > Shipping > Advanced settings Following this path will lead you to this:

Once you reach this you can set up Square's Real Time Shipping integration.

I spoke with customer service and put in a feature request. In this specific circumstance, an order created on the POS system can not ship other than UPS. The POS system does not allow other shipping service integration and the POS created order does not populate on the online orders where USPS is available.

Ah ok, when it comes to shipping a POS order it is often because the product isn't available at the time of in person purchase, therefore it would be necessary to purchase the shipping separately, hope this makes sense.

That's definitely not how we use the Square for Retail POS for creating orders -- it's most often for orders we take over the phone from folks who don't/can't use our online shop. We almost exclusively ship with USPS, so it would be great to have that as an option for orders created via the POS app.

It doesn't help now and I don't know if it will change, but the feature request is in, so we would be able to do this.
