Is there a way to remove the ability for people to actually purchase tickets to an event? We take cover charges at the door on the day of the event, but it's still nice to be able to include that information on the website. I just don't want to have to put in $0 in the price so it's not misleading if someone doesn't read the event description.

@CB11 As I understand the events item for Square, currently, you won’t be able to do exactly what you want to do. In my shop, I have weekend entertainment in my Garden Bar between Memorial and Labor Day weekends. We don’t ever charge since it is outdoors and what would be the point? LOL. Anyway, I had hoped to use Square’s Events item to post information about my acts for each weekend, but had the same problem. I checked with one of the Square website gurus and he confirmed that for me. So, I went to Plan B, as it were.
You only have one option that I’m aware of — let people pre-pay the cover charge, maybe even for a discount. Then have them check in and show their electronic receipt so you can check them off a list and prevent them from sharing that receipt with everyone they know! (People would do that?!?!? Ha). This might give you the best of both worlds and shorten your line of people waiting to pay the cover charge — have a “prepaid cover charge” line to reward them!
Just a thought.
