Promo code/ discount code question

I would like to offer wholesale discounts through my site. If people order $300 or more worth of items, I would like to give it to them at 50% off. Is there a way to specify that promo codes are only good for purchases of $300 or more?

In other words...I would say "Spend $300 or more and take 50% off." But I don't want to give people a 50% discount if they only order one pair of $8 butterfly earrings....

So is there a way to specify the amount at which the promo code kicks in?

When currently creating a code, setting its kick in time is not an option.  That's a great idea though. I hope they implement it.

Thanks for the feedback here.

@HeyItsMuff You're on track with this one. We currently support promo codes on a dollar or percentage basis. We don't offer a more complex set up right now (like kick ins). As far as the expiration for promos, we let you choose the start and end date.
