What if I make a mistake when selecting an item for an order. How do I change or remove it?

Hey @wfd
If you haven't completed / charged for the order yet, you can Swipe to the Left on the item in the "Cart" on the right side of the sceren, or tap on it, and tap remove item.
If you've hit "Charge" but not yet recorded payment, you can hit the X in the top left corner and go back to do the above.
If you've already recorded payment for it, you can go into Transactions and Refund the transaction and ring it up again.

In my situation, my customer has ordered and paid online, but I don't have the color they ordered and after contacting them, they agreed to a different color.
How do i change the order without reprocessing the payment?

We hear you - this would be an important feature request. I would continue to follow the advice that @pessosices gives and refund the payment and recharge it if you need to change the order.
Another option would be to just manually adjust the inventory after the sale, but transactions and item sales would still show the original item(s) sold, not the adjustments, unless you have the Square for Retail subscription.

Thanks for writing back into the community 👋
At this time, event tickets can't be exchanged for different dates. The workaround would be to cancel the order they originally purchased a ticket for, so they can buy a ticket you your other event instead.
I can definitely see how this would be a useful feature, and will pass this on as feedback to our Square Online team!
