Overlay error
This just happened yesterday and continues to happen. Everytime my contactless connects, the overlay saying that it connects stays on my screen and will not disappear.
This is very frustrating to me and customers who are trying to give their signature.
I've tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the app
Disconnected and reconnected the reader
Restart and power off/on phone
Hard reset reader by making red dots blink and disappear.
I'm at wits end with this. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you've already taken a few of our recommended troubleshooting steps with the Square Reader. Is your phone's OS on the most recent version of Android or iOS?

Yes. It is a Note 9 and I've already updated everything that I have been able to.

@lonewolf2683 are you using the point of sale refresh?
go to more ---> settings----checkout and see if it says "revert to previous experience" or "upgrade to the new Square Point of Sale"
Whichever one you have, try switching and see if the problem persists. I have a galaxy note 10 and I don't have that problem. Sometimes with android and different versions of the OS and even device, there can be a bug that is just not seen very often.

Well, I figured out at least it's not specific to Square alone. It does the same thing now in my Clock app.
When I set an alarm, a bubble pops up saying "Alarm set for __ hours and __ minutes from now.
This bubble also lags and won't go away for about a minute or 2.
Whenever the phone system sends an overlay message like this it lags. I have looked all over the internet to see if there was a way to suppress these messages or at least change the length of time these messages get displayed.
Any help is appreciated. I know now this isn't specific to Square.so if this out of anyone's expertise I understand.
