No Show card on file customer approval
When a Customer reserves time through Square Appointments, they click a box verifying they understand the cancellation policy.
How can I edit or add to this feature? I would like to require Customers verify they understand what is required by the Vaccine Mandate that is currently enforced in my area.
Can I add an additional box to click (sorry I'm not tech savvy), stating they have read and understand what is required by the local Vaccine Mandate? And if they do not, their appointment will be cancelled with a fee?
I have already added text to all booking communications. But clicking a box would be great.

Hello @Chiot,
Good to see you posting in the Seller Community again, welcome back! 😊
Do you have No-show protection turned on within you settings? To do so, try this:
-
Visit the Settings tab of your Appointments dashboard > click Payments & Cancellations.
-
Select Booking with No-Show Protection.
-
Set a flat cancellation fee per appointments, or enable to for individual services. Note: When No-Show Protection is enabled for individual services, the cancellation fee will default to 50% of the total service charge for services created in-app, $0 for services created online. To update, head to your Service Library tab to add the cancellation fee amount.
-
Click Save.
Note: There is a $500 limit if you set your cancellation fee per appointment.
To enable No-Show Protection from the Square Appointments app:
-
Tap the three horizontal lines pull up your navigation bar.
-
Tap Settings > Online Booking > Online Payments.
-
Tap Hold Card for No-Show Protection.
To enable No-Show Protection when using Square Appointments on Square Register:
-
Navigate to Online Booking.
-
Select Square Booking Site.
-
Select Accept Online Payments.
-
Tap Hold Card for No-Show Protection.
Also, if the above does not do the trick, check out this guide to see if it helps further.
I look forward to reading your response! 😊

Thanks for responding.
I do have the No-Show Protection, which requires that customers place a card on file and acknowledge my cancellation policy.
However, I thought this would be a great opportunity to have them also acknowledge that they understand my local Vaccine Mandate. The Mandate requires documentation to enter business and I’m trying to avoid turning customers away and argument at door, having to charge No-Show fee.
I could mention Vaccine Mandate on my website. But Square’s No-Show Protection doesn’t mention policy on my website. So foresee potential loophole.

@Chiot, gotcha. I did some more digging around while awaiting your reply, and this is believed to be a feature request. 😕 Aside from posting it on your website (which is a great idea) perhaps you can also send your Customer a contract? Check this support article out to learn more.
There is a good contract in here that touches base on Covid-19 and can be used in conjunction with Square appointments when your clients book. ☺️
Let me know what you think!

Thank you for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, a Contract cannot be attached to scheduling through Square Booking. But can only be sent to an individual. So it doesn't save time (a Square Contract vs simply texting customer).
It would be nice if Square set-up that all new Customers could automatically had to sign Contact before booking.
Thanks
