Keeping iPad From Breaking

Any thoughts on how to protect my ipad when taking it out of stand? I sell at art shows and have to remove the ipad from the stand before closing up for the night and packing everything up. Stand itself is nice and sturdy - but I'm worried about breaking the ipad itself when taking out/storing for the night. I know I can pop it in and out of a case (hassle) but I sure wish there was a way to actually keep it in a case while connecting to stand. Appreciate hearing what others do - apart from just being careful.

You can get a simple iPad sleeve to slip it into.   I don't use the Square stand I just use the Heckler rest stand and my iPad is in a case all the time.  We needed something more portable and not fixed so that is what we chose.

we take ours out of our 3 Square stands every night for 5 years and have never broken an iPad.  It is just the lightning port connector that is making contact so just push the button on the back to pop it out and pull it out mostly sideways not forward so you don't put excess pressure on the iPad connector.  just don't be abusive to it and there shouldn't be a problem. My 5-year-old is able to put it in and out of the stand and hasn't had an issue.  There isn't a way to have it hold a case as there are thousands of different size cases and the iPad itself is protected by the Square stand when in it.

Thanks. It isn’t getting it in and out of stand that is concerning. It is handling the iPad naked before and after. I am missing a portion of my dominant hand so I need to get the iPad in and out of a case before and after to keep it safe. I understand the variety of cases but I wish someone would work with stand to redesign to fit a case made specifically for this purpose. Or make the top of stand removable so it could be carried independently witohaving yo remove the iPad at all. The iPad is way more costly to replace than stand.

Great idea! I had been searching for cases and screen protectors. It never occurred to me to search for a slipcase. That will work very well for me.
