"Some exclusions may apply. See store for details." I include this wording on every coupon, ad, and gift certificate. Then if someone tries stacking (or thinks of a loophole I haven't already thought of), I can use my judgment to say yes or no. Another choice of wording would be "One discount/coupon per customer per day." I have also specified one discount per ITEM, in other words, you can't use a coupon and a loyalty reward on the same thing. If they have 2 discounts, they need to buy 2 items. If you're sales are online, see if there is a way to allow only one reward code. It's your business, so leave yourself room to make up rules as you go. 😉

We also really need a way to prevent discount stacking... now that we are using Loyalty, this can cost us a significant % of a sale. We enter a discount like military, etc and then after they have entered their card, Loyalty offers them an additional discount, so it is not something we can manually override (and really, asking employees to manually manage discount stacking when Loyalty is at play is unrealistic).

Hi @SweetRepeat,
Thanks for writing in and raising this question!
Including Terms & Conditions on your receipts, coupons and so on, or a disclaimer next to your check out station stating that only one discount can be used at a time, for example. @pieceofcakeiowa 's wording sounds good too 🙂

Hello, I agree with Sweetrepeat, "... asking employees to manually manage discount stacking when Loyalty is at play is unrealistic.." - especially during busy times. Any timeline for implementation?
Thanks!

Hello, I have this same issue. Is there a way to stop stacking loyalty awards and discounts on the same item, please? If not, is there a timeline for when this will be implemented?
Thank you!
