Invoicing for Scheduled Order
We are a bakery and customers call in to order cakes for future date pick up. We want to be able to create a scheduled order and send an invoice to the customer to pay. We want the order to track the progress and also for notification to the customer (e.g. notification sent to customers when cake is ready). Is there any way to do this in Square?

Hey
I'm not sure if the invoicing would work for your needs, depending on your workflow.
But with the invoice, you can create the order, and then add payment schedule to and request an initial deposit.if desired, and then the remainder due in 4 days (or whenever the item is able to be picked up).
You could inform them that upon the remaining balance due date, the item will be able to be picked up.

Thank you for your response, Dan. We are not really interested in scheduled payments. We are currently using Square's online ordering system which allows future orders (scheduled orders). We want to be able to create an order when a customer calls in so that the order stays in the system until it is ready for pick up. It can be done if we take down their credit card # and apply payment when the order is created. What we want is to be able to create the order but invoice the customer to pay online at a later time. This way, we do not need to take their credit card #, etc. So far, it does not seem like there is a way....
