I absolutely LOVE Squares ecosystem, but how do I
On WC, do I update the qty of the SKU from Square or WC? I have all my online items synced up, but when I go to change the qty, its greyed out, and will only let me if I uncheck the "Sync with Square"
So what I do is uncheck it update the qty, then re-check to sync with Square, is that correct or is there another way via Square?
I absolutely love their POS, but do I have to spend 60 dollars in order to have the POS? I asked them but I didn't really get the subscription, if it allows me to control everything and have access to everything I have now I want it, but if its relatively useless for a small business, it's one expense I can do without.
Im used to spending 130 bucks a month JUST for a processor ($99+NMI fees), 5% and a rolling 5% reserve, so it was 10% off the bat, gone, I paid my "dues" with them for a year and a half. I don't ever want to go back it was a nightmare.
This leads to me to ANOTHER question I am very sorry if anyone IS reading this, I got an order today and it was a Failed TX, didn't say way, just failed, I assumed it was due to the amount of the purchase and perhaps I didn't keep enough money in Square to process it or it was past my limit? I was never given any real guidelines on that part, so I really don't know and I feel stupid to bother them over it when they are so incredibly busy.
Thank you and sorry for the 2 extra questions, lol, if you can even help with the first it would be much obliged.

Hey there, @JamesJohn80 -
Could you give me some insight on what you mean by "WC"? I want to make sure we are on the same page and don't lead you in the wrong direction.
I will keep an eye out for your reply👀.

Hi!!
I mean WooCommerce (WC), I need to have it so if someone buys, the stock is definitely correct, you know what happens if it isn't and people have to wait, etc. I just see in WC when I go to update the qty in WC, I can't unless I uncheck "sync with Square", then fix the qty and then press the button again and hit update to sync with Square so I was just wondering if I am doing it wrong, if I should be updating Square, and not WC? Thanks so much for getting back to me!

Thank you for clarifying, @JamesJohn80 -
Normally, when you're using Square Sync you will make the changes in your Square Dashboard. Those changes will be updated in your Online Store automatically.
To make sure we are on the same page, you aren't seeing those automatically update- right?

Hi Kassi!
Yes I do see them, I just was so used to updating in woocom, never had a real POS like this, I really really love it. But thank you for the confirmation. Our store is opening soon and we need to be on top of inventory especially being online, so this is perfect.
Thank you so much for your response! Have a great weekend.

Hey Kassi,
Ok, so I updated some inventory, and it didn't sync with my Woocom; I received a few products and updated qty, but it is not showing that in WC. I have cleared cache and refreshed, and it's set to Sync with Square. The qty box is grayed out, so I was wondering what am I doing wrong?
The account synced but nothing; the thing is, too, it shows great on Square. I really really like how the inventory is managed; I worry about someone buying in the store when it opens (2 weeks, thank the Lord, I NEED to get out of the house, this COVID and daughter staying home really did NOT help). I want to make sure that if someone buys 3 and online someone buys 1, Im, out of lunk with it not synced? Or does it strictly go by Squares stock count?
I just thought of that. Can it be Square to update only? And that updates what customers see in stock online?
Thank you so much. This really helps!
You already helped, learned a few cool things! This POS is loaded with goodies. Is this what the 60 a month is for?
Square Retail Plus? Sorry for all the questions

Ah okay, @JamesJohn80 -
Thank you for updating me on how you're using and uploading everything. Since you're using Square for Retail - it wouldn't be able to integrate with WooCommerce.
But this is a large feature request from other sellers. I can add your post to the Feature Request.

ahhhh. ok. i thought that was part of the Seller Pro package (60 mo) but your saying i don't need it for keeping inventory count? so if someone buys item A at the store, it won't deduct it from WooCom?
thank you!!!!!

In the Retail Plus subscription you get advanced inventory management using Square. If a customer purchases Item A it will not pull it from your WooCommerce inventory, but will from your Square Inventory.

We are signing the lease for the store today, 5/4, and would like to speak with someone in regards to two registers, but a bit afraid to, we are really trying our best to clean up everything according to the FDA site, we do apologize for taking manufacturer descriptions, would it help to put "From the Manufacturer" and still not have any claims, would that work better in terms of liability? We really just want to run a clean ship so we appreciate the help, but are a bit scared to spend a few grand on equipment only to be terminated from EAP. If there is a number to speak to someone or anything like this, that would be great!
