How do I keep salon client list confidential from mobile access employees?

I have a small salon business with a few service provider employees. In order to allow these service providers access to using the appointment app, I have to grant them "mobile access" which allows them to log into any device with their their own email address and password. It's not that I don't want them to have access to seeing their schedule, but I don't want them to be able to remotely change appointments on other people's books and I especially don't want them to have our entire client list and the clients' personal contact info. I know that I can customize how much access they have but if they are IN the salon I would be fine with them having access to this info on the salon ipad/desktop. In fact I need them to have this access in order to schedule clients and what not. Is there a way to give them access only on a salon device and not on their own?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx!

Carlyn

Hello @lashpro

This is a great question, currently you can limit the staffs ability where they can only view their own calendar and not edit another staff members. Just make sure that Manage All Calendars is not selected under the permission list.

Although, they will still be able to view and edit clients profiles.

In regards to your last question "Is there a way to give them access only on a salon device and not their own?", there's really only one option. If you don't give them any permissions under employees, you would be the only one able to sign into Square Appointments. So, if you sign into your account on the shop iPad and never log out, your staff can still book appointments and have access. The downside is they won't be able to check their own calendars outside of the shop.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out! 😀

Hi Chad ! How are you ?

How can I do this ? Limit the employee's access only to his calendar, not allow him to make changes or have access to the customer's personal data?

Thank you
