Has anybody else had issues adding a card to a customers file due to zip code error?

We have been having an issue trying to add a card to certain customers files. Most work just fine, but every now and then we enter the card info, and it says unable to save- check postal code. However, after repeated checking with the customers, the billing zip code is correct. But square does not recognize it as valid. One such customer is a business that we deal with regularly, and they say the zip code we have is correct, and they have other square customers who have never had this issue. Called square, they say the zip code is wrong and it is a problem on the customer end. Any ideas how to solve this? I can still run the card just fine and the transactions are approved, but we do business with them a lot, and it would be so nice to have their card on file instead of entering it manually every time.

Hey Brenda, thanks for the post. Those zip code errors due come from information that is not synced between the business/banking system.  The only thing that really flags on this to me is that it's Business cards this is happening to.

 

I'd be curious if you sent them the option to pay by invoice and add Card on File at the bottom if it would allow them to do so. It may be an App or browser issue. I've surface this with a few teams to see if I can get more context to this as well.
