Correcting a Cash Drawer

On June 27, we thought we had closed the cash drawer.  Did not realize until we closed the drawer on June 28th.  The closing cash was recorded as a pay out and not an ENDED drawer. Total accident, but now I'm trying to fix the error.  How can I make adjustments  - close the drawer after the fact, so I know my proper numbers for today?  Is it possible?

@Paulsmarina As of 5/27/2022 correcting a closed cash drawer is not possible.  If you search the community, you will see various threads on this subject, including this one — https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Questions-How-To/Can-a-closed-drawer-session-be-edited/m-p/150001...

@MayaP ’s 5/27 reply indicates this is not a resolved request.  That’s the best I can do, at least, not being a Square employee.

My only suggestion would be to download your drawer reports into a spreadsheet and give yourself cells to make the corrections you need manually.  It’s not perfect, but it could give you a work-around for the time being.

Was my post helpful? Take a moment to mark it as a possible "best answer." I hate the term, and wish we could just mark posts as "helpful." But this is our only mechanism at the moment. Just remember "Best answer" should be interpreted as "helpful," and nothing more. LOL. "Best" (ugh) answers help folks possibly find solutions to similar problems they are hoping to solve.

When I’ve made drawer mistakes in the past my only option was to do the manual math with the adjustments to get my starting number for today. When you open the drawer you’ll just have to change the starting number at that time.
