Can we do more customizing of single staff at multiple locations?

@Helen, you have been quite helpful answering other questions and I have a few now that all relate to each other, so hopefully we can find a way to work around at least some of this. 🤞

 

I technically have 2 locations. I am always at location #1, EXCEPT the first Thursday of each month, I take appointments at location #2.

 

Is it less problematic to set this up by keeping the two locations separate? I can customize the hours for location #1 and turn off availability for the first Thursday of each month, and then turn on only the first Thursday of each month on location #2.

 

But then I run into the issue of the location hours set in the account setting. Even though it's just me, do I just not set hours here and leave it to all be customized completely in the appointments section? If it do it under the customize staff hours and availability, then it alerts me that I have overlapping hours and won't let me do it. 

 

For now, I've deactivated the second location and made notes that the location will be different on the first Thursday of the month. But this might create problems when people book, so that's why I want to know if there's a different way to do it, without having to add myself again as a second staff member in order to fake it. 

 

Additionally, is there a way to customize the sms and email notifications more? I don't want clients to see the address until after they book, mainly because it's a home office, and I want to protect myself. But if I put that in the confirmation message, then people who book on the first Thursday of the month will also see that address. 

 

Let me know what you think. If anyone else has found a solution for this. I'm sure I'm not the only one working from home that wants to protect their privacy and/or customize availability in multiple locations.

Hi @mdevon!

 

You can set up separate locations for your business. If you do that - you can copy over the items/service, so the same items are showing in both. Exactly, you can customize the schedule for each location to reflect what you need. I think that would be the easiest route for booking your appointments. 

 

It's very easy to reactivate that secondary location. That would be easier than deactivating and reactivating the location every month.
