Can I control orders scheduled for the same time print by first received when they become active

Hello all,

Earlier this week we received 3 orders throughout the day, all scheduled for a 6PM pickup time.  At 5:30 when the orders became active they printed last received to first.

We use a KDS and on our screen we see the tickets in what we consider reverse order.

Our goal is to complete all the orders by the requested time but should we run behind we think the first order placed should be the first order printed.

Is there anything we can do in this scenario?

Not for this post, but my next bit of research is to see if we can control how many orders can be scheduled for the same time.  Not placed in a window, but scheduled...

Thank you all for any guidance!

Hey @hyethai!

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

Just to be clear here, how are you accepting the orders? Does it come through KDS? Are the orders placed on your Square Online Store?

Let me know so I can provide more specific instructions or suggestions.

Orders are coming from our square online store and are being scheduled for a specific pickup time.  If orders are scheduled for the same pickup time, when they move from scheduled to active they automatically print.  The challenge is that the fits orders received for that time slot prints last.

I hope that helps explain.  I realize that this is not a show stopper, but if it is an easy fix it was worth asking.

Thank you,

John

Hey @hyethai-

Apologies for the delay. We can’t change the order in which they are sent to KDS, so we wouldn't be able to alter the order in which they print. Have you reached out to KDS? I'm curious if they have order settings. Let me know.
