Brand new to the store editor. How can I preview my edits before publishing?
I recently inherited the responsibility for our non-profit square store, and have just made my first edits. I was surprised to see that my changes went live instantly whether I was ready or not. How do I edit "offline" and publish when I'm ready?

Hey @MAC639 ! Based on your post, it sounds like you're using our free legacy Online Store.
To change the visibility status of your Online Store, please follow these steps:
- Sign into your online Square Dashboard and go to Store Settings.
- Under Site Status, toggle Visible Online and Accepting Orders, on or off to update your site’s visibility.
- Click Save.
When it's toggled off, you can edit your site freely without it being visible or "live" to the public. Feel free to reply if you have any other questions while getting started!

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. I tried this solution, but it seems unreasonable that my store has to be closed for business while I'm making a few changes. Isn't there some kind of "sandbox" method that allows you to make changes in a staging area without shutting down your whole store?
Or am I just using the wrong software? I noticed you called it "Legacy" - if there is something better available how can I get it?

Hey @MAC639-
Thanks for your reply!
Based on what I'm hearing, it sounds like you're using our older version of our Square Online Store. You'll notice when you select Online Store in the Dashboard, you should have an option to upgrade to our new free Square Online Store powered by Weebly. The invitation looks like this:
We're phasing out the older version of our Online Store, and encouraging our sellers to upgrade to our newer, more updated Online Store. You can try the new online store by clicking the blue button on the page in my screenshot above. When creating your Online Store, you'll be able to preview it as you make changes. When you're ready to launch it, you can still make edits to the store without closing the site. You'll make edits while the store is live, and then just save the changes so that it updates automatically.
I hope this information is helpful. Feel free to reply back with any other questions.

w do I stage updates to pricing updates across multiple items? We are wrking on pricing revision for multiple items and would like to publish all changes at once.
How do I update multiple items at once - like a spreadsheet?
How do we stage these changes before publishing, so that we can review and publish all at once.
Thanks for any assistance
