How do I change my pick up time from 2 hours from order to 3 days minimum from order?

I am setting up my business account. I have gone to fulfillments - pick ups and edited my location to orders have to be picked up the following day, then added a 3 day minimum for "How far in advance". I added fulfillment hours to reflect my business hours and completed the rest of the form. My bakery menu is assigned to my location and pick up permissions are turned on. When I do a trial run I see that pick is available in 2 hours, NOT in 3 days like I have it set up in fulfillments and pick ups for the location. Can anyone help me figure out why??

Hi @OLB2026 

 

For troubleshooting purposes, are you able to check a handled of different individual items in your item library too see what the fulfillment settings there are? Your "Item Prep Time" should be toggled to "Based on Location Defaults", if its not there's your problem and you'll need to change your items. 

 

If your items are already set to location defaults, are you able to share a scrnenshot of your fulfillment settings in the Settings tab? Thanks!

Yes, I have confirmed that all of my items are set to the correct location and are set to "location defaults". My default for that location is set to 3 days advance. This isn't allowing me to enter screen shots, but each item is set to the correct location, the location default is 3 days in advance, and each time is set to location default. <y ordering screen is saying pick up is available in 2 hours or during business hours without giving 3 days before pick up.

There are a handful of fulfillment settings you would need to enable, I will try my best to guide you without knowing exactly how this is set up on your end. 

 

In the Pickup fulfillment settings "Calculate & assign pickup times automatically" should be set to "Yes"

 

"When can orders be picked up?": Either option is fine. 

 

"If a customer places an order during your fulfillment hours, what is the soonest that the order can be picked up?" This should be set to: "On a following day (i.e. one or more days in the future)"

 

"How far in advance must a customer place their order?" This should be set to "3 calendar days in advance". 

 

On the left on the Pickup fulfillment settings, there is a Fulfillment calculator, you can use that to see if your settings are working. 

 

If you are unable to solve the issue, you can turn off automatic calculation and leave a message that specifies the three day delay in the "Short message" box.

Thank you for the detailed response, I do have the fulfillment settings set up this way and the online ordering is still showing that pick up is available in the next 2 hours.

hmm ok - without seeing what you're seeing it's difficult to spot the errors, can you confirm what the fulfillment calculator on the right in the pickup fulfillment menu says? If that is showing 3 business days, then at least we can determine that those settings are correct there is a category level or item setting that is causing things to go sideways. 

 

If this issue persists, you have some workarounds: 

Option 1: Turn off automatic calculation and indicate in the short message box that orders are available in 3 business days. 

 

Option 2: Set item level fulfillment settings, rather than using location default.
