Is it possible to export then import (csv or similar) all the item modifiers so I can add or change them in the spreadsheet then import them back into square please?
We don't have an export/import feature specifically designed for updating modifier sets at this time.
You will need to edit and delete modifier sets directly from your online Square Dashboard and/or from the Square Point of Sale app.
To edit or delete modifiers from your Square Dashboard:
1. Visit the Modifiers tab of your Items section. 2. Select a modifier set > make necessary edits > click Save. 3. To delete an entire set, click the rubbish bin icon > click Delete Modifier. To delete an option in the modifier set, click the X icon to the right of the option.
From the Square app:
1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap More > Items. 2. Tap Modifiers > select the modifier set to be edited or deleted. 3. Make necessary edits > tap Save. 4. To delete a full set, tap Delete Modifier Set or tap the red minus icon to delete a specific option.
You can, however, update which modifier sets are applied to individual items by exporting your item library.

Thank you for the reply and the welcome. Unfortunately I am finding more and more things that the square doesn't do that are very simple talks in other POS systems. It is getting to the point that the $2000+ I spent on the system is going to go to waste as I will have to go with another system that does all the things I want. Thanks again.
Certainly! We've received similar feedback from other sellers previously, and our Product Team is also aware of this feature request.
