Feedback on Appointments: Packages

Hi! I am a Square Appointments user and have some feedback on packages.

 

I set up Packages here (this is new: https://squareup.com/dashboard/items/packages).

 

PROS

  • I love that, when this is added at checkout, the discount for a package redeem is already applied to the next service.

 

CONS (by importance)

  • After a customer redeems a package, in the customer profile, when you click PAST APPOINTMENTS, it shows the client paid full price (no package redeem visible); however, when you click "View Transaction", that is where you will see there was a package redeem.
    Solution: Update this view so, when we click into PAST APPOINTMENTS, the value populates like the client receipt and says 
    SERVICE & ITEMS
    Service $100  Package 1/3 Redeemed
    Total $0.00
    PAYMENTS
    Cash $0.00
  • On receipts sent to clients, it does not count down the number of services redeemed or available to use so we can communicate to clients how many services they have left. 
    Solution: Pull the info from the comments of the appointment, to say Package 1/3 redeemed, 2/3 redeemed, 3/3 redeemed on receipts.
  • There is not a link available for clients to purchase these packages online. It appears only Items and Subscriptions have that capability.
    Solution: Create a link for packages to be able to purchase online and attached to their customer profile with date purchased.

 

This is really headed in the right directly, and I appreciate all the work it took to create this in the platform!!

& in the Appointments app, it shows the Package as sold out but there is nowhere to update the count.

 

Our packages don't expire so having an Unlimited option versus 1 month, 3 month, 1 year, etc would be preferred.

I'm surprised that after eight years of discussions on this, there haven't been more intuitive solutions. What I've had with other services, and would need to stay on square:

Training sessions- 

single 60 minute session (full price)- bookable as one

multiple 60-minute sessions (discounts at 4- or 8- sessions)- leaving them with sessions to book as recurring, or as needed, with or without expiration date to services. 


These are industry standard in personal training, private instruction for sports, music, etc. What solutions might i have here that don't add a level of tracking like manual edits to each appointment? Can i create an item that is four or eight appointments?
