Is anyone using square to market their business? I would love to hear insights
Is anyone using square to market their business. I would love to hear what's working and what's not. Im looking for more automations to help maintain clients.

Long time since purchased
etc

I’m finding it hard to use the automations.
I have a mix of services, events and products and find I can’t tailor the time delays on Square Online system emails to suit all of them. So I hoped that paying for marketing would make a difference, but there still isn’t quite enough flexibility and aren’t enough variations to really set it up how I want - eg; to be able to automatically email for a review or ‘what next’ email after an event date passes.
But the ones I have used (google reviews for regular customers, lapsed bookers, a birthday special offer) are all having a decent return with a reasonable open rate.

If there are specific constraints I would suggest you make a post in the feature request, outline in greatest detail possible what you need and how it will better your business.

I use the email marketing feature and we’ve seen a really good ROI, especially the automated ones. They were a little tricky and nuanced to set up initially, but they’re on cruise control now and I don’t touch them anymore. We are a coffee company with four locations and I have learned each customer base needs a slightly different approach for some things, and others can be universal for us.
The best engagement rate has been the Birthday, Reviews, and the Nearing Loyalty ones.

I use email marketing, text marketing, abandoned cart, etc. I usually schedule everything to go out. My customers love getting the updates from me about new arrivals, specials, etc. This year I plan to do monthly newsletters.
