Beta Bytes! A Newsletter for YOU.

Happy October! If you’re new to the Beta Community, Beta Bytes is our bimonthly newsletter that aims to bring you updates from the Beta Team Beta Community. We hope this newsletter will give you information on everything you need to know in regards to beta tests, feature requests, and everything in between.

Join a beta.

You’re invited to join a beta for Subscriptions for Appointments. This test will allow you to sell subscriptions directly from your Square Appointments POS and charge them to your customer’s card on file. Subscriptions can be used as a way to sell unlimited memberships to your business.

The Square Online team has delivered. We’re recruiting for an Automatic Discounts beta that will allow those time-based and BOGO discounts you already use at the POS to work on your Square Online site. Head over to the Automatic Discounts for Square Online group to request access. We’ll begin testing in the next few weeks.

Hey, Food & Beverage sellers. We’re getting ready to test a feature that will allow you to add images to individual modifiers to make the ordering experience more enticing for your customers. Visit the Square Online Modifier Images group to request access to the beta. Note: For this beta we’re looking for sellers on the Square Online Performance or the Square Online Premium plan.

Soon we’ll begin to beta test a feature that will allow you to pause Square Online ordering for up to an hour, right from the POS (Square Point of Sale, Square for Retail, or Square for Restaurants). Request to join the Square Online Pause Orders from POS testing group to be notified when we’re ready to test.

Looking for something different? Browse through our Featured Test Groups and see which beta test could be right for you.

Join the conversation.

Every other week in the Beta Community we host our Beta Roundtable. These are one-hour meetings between you, our beta testers, and our Beta team members. The Roundtables are an open discussion meant for you to bring ideas and issues you may be running into with different betas. They’re also an opportunity to introduce yourself to a community of like-minded sellers looking to try new things with their businesses. Our next Roundtable is October 19. RSVP here.
