Hello Square Community,
I recently launched my transport service website, Riegler Trans , and I’m working on integrating Square payments to offer a smooth and secure checkout experience.
However, I’ve encountered a challenge: Square’s payment options seem more tailored for retail and in-person transactions rather than logistics and transport services. I need a way to allow customers to pay for scheduled transport services online, ideally with an invoice-based or recurring payment option.
Does anyone have experience setting up Square for service-based businesses like transport and logistics? Any recommendations on the best approach to integrate custom pricing, invoices, or subscription-based payments?
Looking forward to your insights—thanks in advance! 🚛💳

Hello @AlexanderWilson thanks for your post, and welcome to the Square Community...we're glad you're here!
Square works great for invoicing customers, so you don't have to use it just for in person or retail store payments.
Check out this link for more info on setting up invoices.
And here's some good info for subscriptions and payment links (these make it easy to just email or message a link for a particular service to request payment).

You can also hold a customers credit card on file, to use for these recurring payments.
Something you can do that will make all of these easier...if you have standard payments or services (example: transport from point A to B), you can create an "ITEM" in your inventory with a set price. Then when you go to create a payment link or invoice, you can just select that item (or others you created) and add that to the invoice/payment. You can also just create a new line item when you create it, but this could save you time if you always use the same "items".
I hope some of these help answer your questions. Again, we're glad you're in the Community. Check back often for more help with Square products, services, and general business help and advice with fellow Square Community members.
