How do I get REAL LIve SUPPORT??????
I work trade shows. therefore when I need an answer I need it NOW as I make a months wages in a few days at a good show. At the last one, I could not get my contactless card reader to connect. Yes, I was fully charged. Yes I updated my programs, not once but twice. Yes the client card was good because luckily the neighboring booth took pity on me and took his payment and sent it to me. SO frustrated with this "CHAT so called support. This Square system will not accept debit cards. I cannot get any live help to troubleshoot. Grrrrrrr

The phone support # is 855-809-9000
Square does accept debit cards, I have taken thousands of transactions from debit cards.
For the card reader not connecting I have had a situation where I needed to go into the Square App and "Forget this device" when I was having issues with a card reader. Once I re-paired it, it worked fine. Give that a try.

Sorry, tried that too and that phone number just takes you ultimately to the chat if you listen it right to the end. I am looking for another option to square because I’m so disgusted with the lack of customer service.

From your Square Dashboard on the top right click help, a bot will open a chat and ask you what help do you need. Type in contact support. It will provide you with what customer support is avialable at that time. I had no issues contacting live support over the phone during their regular business hours.

Tried re pairing several times. That phone number only takes you back to the chat. Still not working.

Hi Lynne, I have run into this issue a few times. One strategy that I often come across is the need to do a "hard" reset of the wireless contact reader. Hold the power button for something like 30-45 seconds it will clear the memory and allow pairing.
Additionally square does accept debit cards, however they may not accept legacy cards without a chip and pin. But I am unsure as I am in Canada and all our cards are chip and pin for years now.
