I can get a report of item sales per day total. I need the total sale broken down to individual sale within the total.
Hi there @SWmanager.. Assuming that I am understand your question above, the easiest way I know of is to go to your web dashboard > Reports > Sales > Sales Summary. Choose your date range to see the summary report.
Under Gross sales/Items you'll see "xx transactions." That is a hot link you can click on to display a report of each transaction. You can even drill down further into transactions to see transaction details.
And, if I misunderstood your question, please clarify for me and I'll try again.
@SWmanager If you are looking for a list of ITEMS sold, however, go to your web dashboard > Reports > Sales > Item Sales

Thank you, I will give it a try. To clarify: we are a non profit and when one of our clients donates I simply put the donation in as an item of the sale. Now I need to go back and open the sale of the day and extract the donation amount of that client to tabulate how much they donated throughout the year.
@SWmanager Ah. Honestly, Square makes it difficult to determine amounts spent by customer over a period. If you are recording/attaching customer information to transactions, your best bet here would be to download a transaction CSV for the period in question. Then import that to a spreadsheet and make a pivot table to summarize donations by customer. Just a thought. Otherwise, what you are trying to do is a highly manual process at the moment. Even Square AI recognizes the limitations of the data sets.
Thank you, I am finding it to be spreadsheet headache but I am getting there.
Thanks for jumping in here @TheRealChipA ! @SWmanager Please let us know if you have any other questions.
