We have rolled out QR self ordering across two sites thus far and its a user friendly option for customers to place their orders. Having replaced another POS and QR system with Square it performs remarkably well (QR ordering), from an end user point of view and for BOH.
However there is at least one significant problem that is causing some unnecessary customer frustration and therefore adding extra work for our FOH team. It's the omission of accepting Apple and Google pay at the online checkout. From our experience many customers now don't carry cards so having this option is crucial moving forward, particularly when its mandatory to finalise payment before the order can be sent to the kitchen (with no open tables as we are using Sq KDS Beta) .
Is there an ETA on when this option will be available to us Australian Squareup customers ?
