Why is the new "Square Plus" Plan charging per location when the "Square Online Plus" Plan did not?

So now the updated "Square Plus" subscription charges $49 per location where the older "Square Online Plus" subscription did not.  We use different mobile locations for special events that are weekly, quarterly and some annually.  We run 2 markets on the same day and need to track sales separately.  Now with this new plan, Square wants us to shell out $49 per location per month.  This will be 10x more expensive than the previous subscription where you could just be charged the $49 for the main account and the mobile locations weren't charged the same.  There is no way to change each location to a different subscription.  Even though the first rep I talked to said there was, but the second rep said "No" the subscription has to be the same across the board.  If we change to the "Free" subscription then it messes up our website and other features we were previously paying for. Any other sellers here gonna get affected by this as bad as us?
