Why is it saying my customers have to add a delivery address to add anything to there cart

It’s saying they have to add an address to add product to cart but when they do it says we don’t deliver there so I don’t know how to go back and fix whatever’s causing this

Hi @Hjames0912.  I think we can resolve this pretty quickly.  I’m confused as to whether or not you actually offer delivery, so I’ll give you solutions for both scenarios.

If you do not offer delivery at all through your online store  go to your online dashboard -> Online -> Pickup & Delivery.  For your location, toggle the delivery option off.  Your customers will no longer be required to enter a delivery address.

If you DO offer a delivery option, then your delivery area may be defined incorrectly causing the “we don’t deliver there” message.  In this case, from your online dashboard go to Online -> Pickup & Delivery -> click on delivery.  For orders you deliver yourself, you define your delivery radius here.  For orders that DoorDash and Uber/Postmates delivers for you, they define it.  In that case, if they are outside the delivery radius of the third-party delivery, all your customers can do is order to pickup themselves.

I hope that one of those options helps.  If not, let me know and we’ll dig deeper!

Have you entered stock quantities for each of the items you are selling in your online store?  Also, can you send me the link to your online store so that I can noodle around while we are discussing this here?

LOL. No judgement ever!  It looks like a good start that I’m sure will get better as you work on it!  So let’s get this out of your hair so you can get on to more important things.

Starting at Online again, go to Items —> Item Preferences.  In the Item statuses section, click the Edit Button.  Turn off Low inventory indicator, out of stock indicator and save those.

Now your items should be able to be ordered from your web site.

Of course, you want to key your inventory of each item in so that items can’t be ordered once they are out of stock.  You do that from your Site Items, where in the Additional Information section you will find a stock update field.  Once you have your stock in, go back to your item settings that you changed above to show “out of stock” when items are out of stock.

Try that out.  And if you need to I’m having a slow ice cream day.  Feel free to call me at the shop at 859-291-7287 and we can talk through a few things.
