What are the charges for debit cards versus credit cards in Canada? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, 

First time poster here. I'm wondering if someone can verify something for me.

I understand that Square charges .10 cents per debit card transaction.
For credit cards it is a fee of 2.65% of the transaction.

(I'm in Canada, so I'm looking for answers from Canadian users as I understand it is different in the USA).

Am I correct? Thanks in advance to all.

The processing fee of 2.65% applies to tap, dip or swipe for Visa, Mastercard, American Express and international credit cards. We also have 3.4% + 15¢ That’s for every manually keyed-in and Card on File payment.

On the other side we have a 10¢ fee for every Interac insert and tap.
