Now that site items are gone, I can't add items to the site

Now that site items are gone, I can't add new items to my sites. You can assign the item to site under "Where it's sold" but it doesn't actually do anything. If I assign an item to a site here, it usually gets unchecked in a few minutes automatically and goes back to "0 sites"

 

Is there a secret button I'm missing? The old way was maybe more complicated but at least it worked.

My items say they are being saved but it won’t actually save them to my online site iv emailed and messaged but nothing, I’m thinking it’s a glitch right now

Hi @rapallegro29 

 

We have not had the exact same issue. However, we have had challenges whereby we make an item Visible to our Online store, and it doesn't go live to our site. 

 

I know Square is aware of the challenges that sellers are facing with categories and is actively working to address many of those challenges. Input from sellers like you (and me) help to surface these challenges and get them addressed as soon as possible. 

 

Please let me know if you face other issues or have other concerns.

I figured out what is happening in our instance -- we cannot assign a brand new item to a site unless we visit the old "site items" page that Square is trying to get rid of.. In the site overview page, if there are no items available, there is a warning link that takes you there. So I have to take everything else off sale, go to the warning link, save that, and use that to assign new items to the site. So it's like we're kinda half-upgraded to the new method.
