Lag in writing notes to seller in checkout

hello, I am running a canteen through square and parents are supposed to leave their childs name and classroom in the checkout notes box but having trouble typing the words in. There is a huge lag and you can only type one letter per couple of seconds otherwise it blanks out.  Very frustrating. Can anyone please help? I have gone through all the settings but cant find anything that would be causing this other than a technical issue somewere.

We're not seeing any widespread issues here, and it's going to be a little difficult for us to troubleshoot via our forum, but it sounds like this might be device related - are are able to let me know:

 

  • What make/model of phone or tablet are you using? Or which Square device, if using a Square Terminal or Square Register?
  • What version of iOS or Android is the device running?
  • What version of Square app is being used? Is there an update available on the app store?
  • How much free storage is on your device?
