How is it that we cannot add images anywhere in the text of an email?

Why is it that we cannot drop images anywhere in a square marketing email?

I have been able to do that with Mailchimp for years for a price of 9.99/month with up to 50,000 contacts, 3 audiences included, 3 seats, 500,000 monthly emails sends, and much more. VS this pricing from Square

$15/mo

0–500 Customer Contacts

$25/mo

501–1,000 Customer Contacts

$35/mo

1,001–UP TO 2,000 Customer Contacts

Thanks for the reply Rene!

I explained in the Round table this week, but I do want to circle back to this in the case other people have questions about this.

Square marketing is built in components for easy creation. Meaning when we have a text window, that only contains text, images the same way.

So when you are creating a new email, you have to approach it like it's bucketed and divided into those components.

Creating an email that is divided into sections allows us to compress images fields as well as embed links, and add things like coupons and other things that are built to work in tandem with your Square Point of Sale (like check out links).

I know its not the best way to copy/paste, but taking a few moments to divide your emails into our text/images, and then drag those where you want to appear in the email ultimately also gives you a lot of control, although coming from one system to another, does make that complicated.

What I can suggest is type out your emails in a doc, add images where you want it - then copy the text in that is not broken by images or links and pasted into your text windows, then add images. It gets quicker after a time.

Let me know if you need other help!

I understand. Happy to pass your feedback but for your case, Mailchimp may be the better option. This is part of the integration with Square Point of Sale, the couponing system, customer management etc. Not just an email service unfortunately.

Thanks @kellyj

Yes, for now, Mailchimp is the better service but I would love it if Square can offer the same options, and then I can drop MailChimp, as of now I waste a few hours per week, deleting Mailchimp addresses that are now also in Square marketing.
