We've had our new square register for about 6 months now. It just recently started lagging and running super slow. You click on a button and it doesn't open up the item for about 10-15 seconds, then when we finally are ready to have the customer pay it takes another 10-15 seconds for the customer to be prompted to pay. We've never had this issue before. This is making our service and checkout time drastically longer than it needs to be... our internet is fine, and we've tried rebooting the machine and updating... does anyone else have this problem with the register?

Can you try these troubleshooting steps to see if this gets it up to speed?
Make sure your device is connected to power. Square Register needs to be powered on to function.
Make sure your device’s date and time are accurate. If they’re wrong, please update them in the settings. Tap ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > General > Date and Time and adjust accordingly.
Make sure your device has the latest software. Software updates typically take around 20 minutes to complete, but may take up to one hour. Square Register will update automatically overnight as long as it’s powered on and plugged in.
To update your Square Register software:
Tap ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > General > About Square Register > Software Update.
Tap Check for Update to see if there is an available software update.
If you see Software Up To Date then you are all set.
