Card reader with adapter says it’s connected but won’t read.

I got an adapter that says it’s compatable with square reader and iPhones, my phone and the app is updated. When I plug it in it says it’s commected but when I swipe any card it doesn’t read it, nothing happens. I then have to manually put in the info and it sucks! Haalllp

Have you tried our Magdtripe Reader Troubleshooting Steps for this reader? These tips and tricks typically get a reader back up and running. 

If it's still giving you trouble after this, you can order a replacement reader from your Square Dashboard.
