I was unable to enter a legitimate customer email (gmail) that I double and triple checked

Why did Square not accept a customer's Gmail address in their profile? I had to send an invoice by text but it seems odd. I double and triple checked the email address and it was correct. Not all biz owners use a website for their email and many use Gmail.

@courtney7 Lots of my customers have gmail.com addresses, so that can't be the issue.  However, you just did not give us anything concrete to go on, and more information is needed.  You said that Square did not "accept" the address?  Did you get an error message?  Where were your trying to enter the address -- your web dashboard, your POS, etc?  And was this in the payment flow, or just setting up the customer the first time?  Anything at all would be a big help because it's impossible right now to even know where to start.

Ok sure, happy to provide more information. I was entering the customer's information for an invoice. I entered their email correctly and received an error message "Please enter a valid email for your customer."  It was their correct email which I checked any number of times. I'd submit a screenshot but that would not protect my customer's email and name.

Hmmm.  Thanks for the information.  That's definitely weird.  I don't know whether you were creating the invoice on the web dashboard or the Invoices app.  But in either case it sounds like you are going to need to get on the phone with customer support.  Before that, though, if you are using the app try deleting and re-installiing it.  If you are using the web dashboard, sign out and clear your browser history and cookies.  Then try one more time.  If that doesn't work, it sounds like an issue with your account.  I just tried entering gmail.com email addresses in both places and it's working for me.  Something else is going on.

Is it possible the email address already exists in your customer accounts? Just thinking
