June is here and every industry seems to experience summer differently.
For your business, is summer your busiest season, your slowest season, or pretty much the same year-round?
I'd love to hear what type of business you're in and how summer impacts sales.
Cosmetologist here..Summer kind of fluctuates for me from year to year. Some summers are super busy. Others are steady.
I have a nail salon and usually summer is on point for us...but last year it was slow...hopefully we can do a little better this year but inflation is messing with how frequent clients are coming in...
Summer is our super busy time. But here in Arizona summer is only 7 weeks long. So we capitalize on it is much as possible.
For us anytime there is school breaks and work holidays We do very well. May is our biggest month of the year because it has Mother's Day and memorial Day and the kids get out of school this year on May 23rd.
Then June and July are strong as well but the kids go back to school July 15th so we will slow down from mid-July to mid-September and then ramp back up for all the holiday season at the end of the year with December and October being very strong months as well.
Fall break from school for 2 weeks and winter break from school for 2 weeks creates a good surge during the fall and winter.
Any Monday holidays such as Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, memorial Day, etc gives us a strong Monday that is comparable to any Saturday. So it's like having an extra day in the weekend.
That's awesome!!! I liked also seeing how your summer and school closing dates differ from here in Charlotte, NC ๐
