I have two different tax rates and need a report that can show the taxes collected at different rates for the month
Hey @gkfoods0331, great question!
We do have a taxes report that you can access in your online dashboard. To view the taxes you've collected for any period of time, sign in to your Taxes tab > select necessary date range > view taxes collected in the chart below.

Thanks. That answered my question.
Wondering if anyone knows if on square you can individualize taxes by city & make a report? I have various taxes (categorized by counties) but all within the state I live in so I can easily (or what I thought I could easily) pull a report showing taxes used by various counties. I cannot seem to find that report. Thanks!
@cbing Take a look at Tom's post above. If you set up a different tax for each city you can view this in the Taxes report from your Square Dashboard. Click Export from the top right to download a CSV file of this report to your computer.
I hope this helps, but if this isn't what you're looking for please let know so I can help!
We need a report that breaks down which city we collected taxes for when we make online sales shipping within our state. Is there a way to do this?
HI @Peacock174,
Are your sales all entirely online, or are they a mix from various different platforms and point of sale systems?
@Peacock174 did you ever find a solution?
@Helen this is the problem I am currently having. I submitted my states first sales tax return today and it was very time consuming. I saw you stated to add each city as a category, but that would take forever. Not to mention, I am in Washington State and many cities have various tax rates within those! Have there been any solutions since this post?
My problem is that square only shows the overall tax collected. I need to know the amount from each city/county in order to properly report it to my state. Any recommendations?
This is the problem I am currently having. I know your post is old, but have you come up with any solutions since then? I am in need of help with this
I just learned that I have to charge different tax rates for my products based on the ingredients. I was able to set up the 4 different rates that I need in the Item Library/Tax tab. And I assigned the appropriate tax rates to the appropriate items. I cannot find a report that shows the sales broken down by the different rates charged. Any suggestions?
