Um, not exactly sure what you are asking, but...

to log into the square register APP you simply use the email address and password that you used when you created the account.

Yes, and it won't take it.  I think this might be something else this time.  It's the first time I've tried to log into the terminal, and it wants my "inner fence account."

I can get into the dashboard with my normal email and password just fine.

Square Register App will use the same login credintals as your dashboard.

make sure you have the right app.

you must use Square's app not just a "credit card terminal app".  There are lots of POS and Credit card apps on the 2 app stores.

So the question now is, can I do this on my computer?

A bit more... I was trying to do this on my Mac, but apparently you can't do it on a computer?  When you ask for "Square Register" you get credit card terminal.  It's a company called Inner Fence that installs it on your computer so, no it won't work.  I can't do this on my computer?  I've got it working, I think, on my iPhone, but I don't want to use that.  All those little buttons.  I've got to run my iPad to do it?

No you can not process payments on your computer.  

Be very careful as to what you installed and information you gave them as whatever you installed is not affiliated with square.

you can use it on your ipad and iphone only, that is correct.

Well, darn.   That's a major, major disadvantage to Square.  Now I've got to run another piece of equipment (my iPad) all the time to use it.

square is a mobile payments company.  The software is great on the ipad, we use it on many ipads and ipad minis in our store.

I would delete anything from that download or app immediately because I don't know where you obtained the software and who makes it.  There are tons of sites out there that their only point is to get usernames and passwords by having sites or apps that look like other real site.

Thank you.  I had already deleted the app and, beyond trying to log in, never gave it any information or use.  It was very sneaky about not letting you know it was not Square.
