For the email coupon discounts can you make it apply to just one category?

We did an email coupon code thru square, can we make that code good for just one category and not the entire sale?

@Greenhouse, yes while setting up the marketing campaign you can edit the coupon.

  start setting up your campaign. click on the coupon.  click edit coupon.  choose the item or category and what the discount is.

Yes I did that,  but I mean when the customer comes in a buys something from the sale category and also make another purchase the coupon takes the discount on total sale and not just that sale category.
