I'm the owner and only staff member. My full legal name is listed publicly under the staff tab.

I've tried a number of things to change it. I think I can't change my name under staff because it's on the account, but I need to hide my full name for obvious safety reasons. I can't edit the text on the website editor and I tried deleting the staff tab completely and can't figure that out either. This is a huge oversight. Please help me.

I made a new team member for myself, as many in this forum advise, and it created a mess. 

 

I ended up calling Square and turns out there's an option, it's just buried like everything else seems to be in square. 

 

Go to dashboard > staff > team members> select your name > appointments > online booking profile > edit

@TPMsf I would do two things.  First, as a long-term fix, submit a feature request here to ask the team to consider allowing name overrides for account owners.  I can think of a number of reasons to allow this, but be sure to add your own.  Saying that you want this for "obvious safety reasons" is pretty vague.

 

Secondly for a short-term fix, I would create a new team member that is also you.  Then you can use this team member for all of your public-facing things like online appointment booking.  For obvious legal reasons, Square is not allowing us to change identifying information for account owners.  So, this might be you best and only solution going forward.

@TPMsf Sorry it made a mess.  I'm not sure why that would have happened because I know many appointments sellers who do that very thing.  Thanks for posting the solution.  That's a new one on me, and I'm guessing on many.
