Why does my W-2 says Draft?

This is my first year filing W-2's. I wasn't aware I missed the deadline. I've confirmed everything but the downloaded draft of the W-2 is still stating DRAFT DO NOT FILE. What do I do?

If your W-2s are showing as drafts, this means that Square Payroll has not yet filed your returns. Form W-2 filing for 2024 will be completed on or before January 31, 2025. Once filed, downloaded forms will no longer have the "Draft" watermark and the status will be updated to "Filed By Square" in Tax Forms, under the W-2 tab.
