2025 W2s Coming Soon?

In past years our W2s have been available atleast a week ago, giving us employers time to mail/hand them out by the 1/31 deadline. Am I the only one that is still only seeing drafts as of 1/28/26?

Hi there @cbordo.. W-2 forms must be mailed to employees (or finalized in PDF format) by January 31, 2026, but since that date falls on a Saturday, the deadline is extended to February 2, 2026. Employers are required to ensure that W-2s are sent out by this date to comply with IRS regulations. I checked my dashboard just now and mine were mailed a couple of days ago -- ahead of the mailing/finalization deadline. This year, they were held up because IRS guidelines for the stupid political stunt of "no tax on tips/overtime only for three years" were late getting out.

Anyway, it seems they are being finalized now. Yours might just be later in the cycle. But they should be ready for everyone by 2/2/26.

We choose to have ours mailed by Square Payroll and most received this week.
