SAME QUESTION! This is why it would be so nice for customers to plan ahead and bring cash. Follow up question to this, is there a way to program the square device to charge a certain amount more when they select to use Cash App?

Why is the processing rate for Cash app transactions the same when I know for a fact it is much less expensive for Square to process them?

I thought that if a customer paid with cash app, it was 1.7% or one point something. That is the only way I would be willing to push clients to get it. I am constantly looking for lower rates as I pay a car payment in fees monthly as it is. Plus marketing is flat rate plus per use. Appointments is in tiers with high monthly rates. Loyalty is monthly plus per use. Now it’s text messaging. Another flat monthly plus per use in tiers. It’s like the early 2000’s all over again. Nickeled and dimed to death on top of already high processing fees. I’m just wasting for a service to come out that makes it possible to drop the rates.
