Up front I'll admit I'm getting kind of old and I'm from Canada so ... sorry for any offense this may cause!

Check = ✔️
Cheque = 💸

Sorry Square, but if you spell it this way there's no ambiguity!

Speaking of fighting ambiguity, the international date standard is YYYY-MM-DD. Benefits:

Never wonder if 11-04-09 was in 2011, 2004, or 2009. Or 1909 for that matter.
Your files are automatically sorted chronologically.
People in Europe understand it just as well as in the USA.

OK this post is a bit of fluff but Square doesn't seem to choose either of these options by default so I figured I'd challenge them! Fight me, Square!
