Tracking Ingredients for Composite Items in Inventory

Hi there! I run a café and we make house-made sandwiches with various ingredients like different types of bread, tomatoes, and meat. However, I don't sell these ingredients separately, only as part of finished sandwiches. I'm struggling to find a way in Square to track each ingredient used in a sandwich so that it automatically deducts from my total inventory when a sandwich is sold. Does anyone know if Square has a feature that supports this kind of detailed ingredient tracking or if there’s a workaround to manage it effectively? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the Community!

While we don't currently have a feature to track and report against individual ingredient costs, Ingredient Cost Tracking has been a popular feature request, and is actively being tested by Sellers in our Beta Community. If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to check out the discussions and features that are on the way!

In the meantime, you might want to look at some of the 3rd party integrations we support on the Square App Marketplace. While I wouldn't be able to recommend one over another, I have heard good things about both BevSpot and Backbar.
