The&nbsp;free Swipe&nbsp;reader will unfortunately not work for processing&nbsp;Australian-issued cards because it will only accept Swipe cards (still the standard in the US but not Australia). It is not available as a stand alone product in Australia.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>To process an Australian issued card with Square you'll need to use Chip or Tap, which is why the only reader available in our market is the Contactless + Chip reader. This is&nbsp;a different and more complicated device and will support Australian Chip and Tap cards, which can't be processed via Swipe in Australia.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>Sorry the confusion here!
