Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to this community in hopes of finding some guidance or assistance.

My name is Daniellin, and I was the previous owner of the domain gwma-kingdom.com. Unfortunately, I missed the renewal deadline last year, and the domain is now registered under privacy protection by a new owner.

I would really appreciate any advice or help on how I might:

Contact the current domain holder (if possible)
Work with the registrar (NameSilo) to explore options
Reclaim or repurchase the domain, if the current owner is open to it

Additionally, in the process of trying to renew the domain, I mistakenly purchased gwma-kingdom.org for two years. If anyone has experience with canceling or refunding an unintended domain purchase, I’d love to hear your suggestions.

Hi there @daniellin0324. Sorry to hear about this. And not to have better news. As you can imagine, since the domain is now owned by someone else, your options are limited. It looks like they have not published anything to it, yet, but that's not necessarily good news. Most likely, it was purchased by someone who is looking to make money off of selling it to the highest bidder. Sites like this are constantly buying up expired domains to resell, and if you owned it for a long while, they will assume that it has value and will charge accordingly. Your only options at this point are to:

backorder it, which puts you on a waiting list for the day that it becomes available again, if it ever does.
make an offer through a service like NameSilo (or one of many others). If it is accepted, the owner would transfer it to you. Also, you'd be responsible to pay a fee to the service you used to make the offer. Bear in mind that this is not always inexpensive, and often there are broker
You could click on this link to see who the Registrant Contact is and try to contact them yourself. But believe me when I say that this will probably increase the value of the domain in their eyes.

Honestly, your best bet is to just purchase another domain that is similar to this one. As you can see at this link, there are many that are available. Given that you said that you let it expire last year, I really think this is your best option.
