Hello, I have an original plug-in swipe AND chip card reader. I haven't used it for over 5 years, is it still good to use or do I have to get a new blue tooth reader? I HATE those because of the power issue.

Hi there, @TraceyLF - thanks for reaching out to us here 👋

Square card readers are universal, and we do not deprecate them - meaning you still should be good to go to use the reader you have!

Also, unsure what you are referring to by power issue - are you having trouble with your Contactless & Chip Card reader?

Thanks for your reply Joe. I had a different Bluetooth unit that didn't last more than 4 to 6 hours if left on all day at a show and turning it on and off inbetween sales caused problems. I hated it! The old plug and swipe work 100% of the time 😉
