1099 form has the wrong state

My address is in Michigan, my two shows are stated to be in Michigan yet my 1099 shows the state as Illinois. How do I change this -it is incorrect.

the only spot I see a state listed is the Payee's name and address which is the information that you input here. https://squareup.com/dashboard/business/taxes

I don't know what would happen if you corrected your address information if there is a way for Square to issue a corrected 1099.

If you look under the word NOVEMBER you will see STATE and it incorrectly lists IL.

This is incorrect on both JULY and SEPTEMBER.

On the Seller Community, we do not have visibility into your Square account so we are unable to take a look at your 1099-K Form. Were you able to update your address by following the instructions that @VanKalkerFarms provided?

My address had been previously updated, long before the end of the year. It is an error on their part they are not willing to change.

So you contacted Square about it? I do see that in box 6 now. Was your previous address and processing done in Illinois since you say it has been updated? That might not be something they can change if some did take place in Illinois.

This happened to me this year and square will it fix it. I hate in one reported to the wrong state! How did you fix this?
