thread How we track labour costs vs revenue with Square in Reports Setup & Management

One of the most important metrics we track is labour cost as a percentage of revenue. Here's how:

Step 1: All staff clock in/out via the POS using Timecards.
Step 2: Set hourly rates per team member in Team settings.
Step 3: Daily check: Total revenue (Sales Summary) vs Total labour cost (Team > Labor vs Sales).
Step 4: Calculate: labour cost / revenue = labour %.

Our target is under 28% for a retail/repair shop. We recently had to make some tough staffing decisions when we were running at 35%.

The gap: Square doesn't give you a real-time labour % dashboard. You have to manually check or export. I'd love a live widget showing today's labour % as sales come in.

What's your target labour percentage?
