Cash App Payment Option on Square Register

When Cash App first became available as a form of payment on Square Register, the Cash App payment option would automatically appear on the customer display. Now the Cash App option has disappeared.

How can I get the Cash App payment option to appear on the customer display on Square Register?

Hey @Zembo

We've been using the Cash App payment method on Register and it's been working really well!

To double check that it's active, on your Register, go into Settings, Checkout, Payment Methods, and make sure Cash App is activated there.

It might show up immediately on the Customer Facing Display, but after processing a transaction or two, it should show up.

Let me know if this works or doesnt!

Can you take a picture of your options under payment methods on your register and share it here?

Is your register software fully updated?

It's not working for me either. I called Support and was disappointed to find out it's not available on Register yet.

That's weird I have 3 POS Square Register 2 is like 1 1/2 years old the newest one did an updated 2 days ago and it's showing the cashapp as a payment option, the old ones not, I notice comparing the models that they are different in model and the newest one has a software update higher the old ones... I do not have the option to do any update on software or firmware on the oldest ones. My concern is that to have the cashapp work on the old ones I'll have to replace the hardware???

So I think the support didn't explain exactly the problem.

I would reach out to our Hardware Specialists for more information on your options for adding Cash App. 1-855-700-6000

In my experience, technology has limits when it reaches a certain age and the software can no longer accept the updates we send out to it.

That sounds like what is happening on your oldest Register, but our Hardware team look into this a little deeper.

Is the cashapp to pay option seriously not available on square registers?? I don't understand, isn't that the newest thing from square? We just spent $1600 on 2 point of sale registers and the cashapp to pay isnt coming up even though we have advertised for it

@Pay with CashApp has been working on Square Register for a while now. We’ve been using it and loving it!

I would recommend following @Kassi_ ‘s suggestion to contact support.

I would suggest you follow @Kassi_'s advice and get in touch with our hardware specialist as Cash App Pay should be available on Square Register @ElmStreetToys.
